Gluten free Pear and Hazelnut Crumble anyone?

Naturopath and Nutritionist Kimberley’s delicious dessert is perfect for the chilli weather. Naturally Gluten Free, follow the alterations to make this Dairy Free and Vegan. Yummo!

Gluten Free Pear and Hazelnut Crumble

Ingredients

6-8 very ripe pears, peeled and chopped

Crumble Topping
1 cup Hazelnut meal
1 cup Buckwheat flakes (or GF oats)
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup sugar – raw or coconut sugar
125g butter* (or a little more if too dry)
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add butter and rub in using your finger tips. (This makes enough for 2 large crumbles)

Place chopped pears in a baking dish and top with half of the crumble mix. (You can freeze the rest for a shortcut next time you make this)

Bake at 170°C for 30 minutes

*Coconut oil can be used in place of butter for a dairy free/vegan option
